My Role
I was one of two UX designers working on the color palettes. I did some initial research on creating accessible data viz palette's and shared my findings and tools with the design system team. I then contributed to the Design System by doing the dark mode color palette
Design Challenge
The main challenge for this initiative was to expand the data viz colors but also keep it accessible and with the brand. Because our client works in Cybersecurity, it was high priority to make sure the color palettes were as accessible as possible. Their security analyst need to be able to differentiate between the colors in the data visualizations because a mistake on their end could cost their clients millions of dollars and put their customers at risk.
